I’m taking it at a community college. Can someone give me some tips or any information that will help me succeed in this class. Any camera buying suggestions (I have a cybershot already) or anything that you might find helpful. thank you so much!

Even though you’re taking a digital photography class, study film photographers who have come before you. There you will learn all the basics of composition. Find an art museum with photo displays, or pick up some books on photographers from a library.

The camera, lens, etc, those are just tools. Learn from the masters about making the image.
