digital iso

What exactly is the ISO setting on a digital camera?
ISO is the sensitivity of your camera’s sensor. The higher the ISO you can set it to, the lower light you can take pictures in. In other words, the higher the number, less light is needed to take a picture and possibly no flash allowing you to take pictures in darker places. The trade off is that your picture will develop ugly spots in darker parts of the picture and will look grainy.
